What do you love the most about your neighborhood?
Safety, silence and how most of the houses are so well take care of. Within short two years this part of Concord where we live has gotten even nicer than when we moved in.
What was your journey like buying a home?
Stressful and terrifying. Amber made it much more digestible and was extremely supportive and responsive. Certain parts of the process can’t go away but it really depends on the people you work with how will this soften it up and Amber was just great.
What surprised you the most about the home buying process?
The amount of documents lenders requested and the amount of back and forth between the lender and us when everything seems so clear.
My experience working with Amber was…
Excellent. She had our back, she was our true advocate but still was able to set realistic expectations.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Probably my kids and being able to become successful in the Bay Area as an immigrant.
What was your childhood ambition?
Being a war journalist.
What is your favorite hidden gem?
Small, hidden, picturesque streets of Prague, my home city. Tons of hidden cafes, bars and places with a view tourists do not know about.
What’s been your biggest challenge?
Being a working mom in a foreign country.
What was your first job?
What was your favorite movie?
Little Miss Sunshine
What is your favorite room in your home?
My kitchen, no doubts. That is where we spend most of our time as it opens to our backyard and I can cook or sip wine while kids are getting dirty in the garden.
What is at the top of your bucket list?
Buy another property in Prague.
What organizations do you love?
ACLU, Charity Water, Doctors Without Borders.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
Hope for the best but be prepared for the worst.
